Scholarships

The Ankeny Alumni Association provides scholarships to Ankeny High School graduates who seek to continue their education.  The scholarships are provided from the funding that is generated from the Alumni Association’s annual banquet, annual golf tournament, merchandise sales and the generous donations from alumni and community members.   The scholarships offered by the association include:  the Alumni Scholarship, the Legacy Scholarship.  In addition the Ankeny Alumni helps administor the Ankeny Alumni Lein Family Scholarship.

The scholarship program began in 2003 with the awarding of 2 scholarships total $200.  Today that has grown to 5 scholarships total $2,500 annually.  Scholarship winners are presented their scholarships at the Alumni Association’s annual banquet held each year during SummerFest.

Alumni Scholarship

Open to any Ankeny High School graduate continuing their education at an institute of higher learning.  Scholarship is for $500.  Scholarship applications are due by April 1, 2010.

Legacy Scholarship

Open to any Ankeny High School graduate who is a descendant of an Ankeny High School graduate and continuing their education at an institute of higher learning.  Scholarship is for $700.  Scholarship applications are due by April 1, 2010.
